Worked with a team of developers to create an affiliate network system that integrates with our existing radio traffic system, the first in the world. Worked on expanding and updating our CRM software, used by radio stations and market managers throughout the country to track sales activities. Converted JQuery/MVC code into Angular/TypeScript code, dramatically improving code quality, speed and maintainability. Worked on prototyping a microservice version of the existing affiliate system, written using Angular 8, C# and ASP.NET Core 3. Also prototyped using C# Blazor WebAssembly for future SPA development. Created an OpenID Connect and OAuth 2 service providers using IdentityServer 4 using C# and ASP.NET Core, which were used for several Cumulus Web applications single sign-on (SSO). Helped merge revenue data from acquired radio markets into our revenue reporting application, which is used by senior company executives. Also wrote several Window services and applications to exchange revenue data with outside vendors. Created several Web services using the WebAPI and WCF. Consumed Web services via Angular, JQuery and in backend server code. Created and updated several internet Web applications using ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET WebForms and MVC. Created a mobile version of the company directory Web site. Created WebAPI, JSON and OData REST services in both WebForms and MVC. Created Windows services to monitor databases and Web servers. Updated and maintain an ASP.NET WebForms application designed to manage the accounting and reporting of radio ads. Created an MVC Web application to allow ad agencies to choose on-air radio talent to endorse products.

My primary role was designing and developing clinical applications. Worked on the development of the public Web site My SMA Health Online (http://portal.smalv.com). The Web site was written in ASP.NET and C#, with a SQL Server and IDX/Flowcast backend. Co-developed and deployed a Genesys IVR (Interactive Voice Recognition) system. Developed the Web Performance Tracker, a WPF client application that monitors Web activity on a user’s PC to report on the performance of Web applications. Developed a vaccine-tracking Web application using ASP.NET 3.5, dynamic data and a SQL Server backend. Created an outbound calling system to notify patients of appointments, medication fulfillments and one-time messages. It was a multi-tier application that used a Windows service that periodically pulled appointment data via a WCF to populate calling lists. Dynamically generated VXML (Voice XML) based on user-defined scripts and appointment data. Developed a Web application to let administrators create and modify outbound calling scripts. Created an IVR screen popper with a soft phone written in C#, WCF and the Genesys SDK. The application notified call-center agents when a new call came in and automatically loaded a patient’s data. Created WPF Windows applications and Windows services in C# that received HL7 data from medical devices and forwarded the results via ConnectR to our Touchworks Allscripts database.

Extended and maintained middle-tier systems for processing customer bank accounts. Worked on an internal ASP.NET application that bank representatives used to manage customer accounts. Worked on the company’s public Web site, www.CreditOneBank.com. The middle tier was written in C# and the backend database was in Oracle. Wrote PL/SQL and designed database tables. Wrote Web Services and Web Methods, and remoting services.

Designed and developed mission-critical backend and Web services infrastructure for the online order processing system at InPhonic, which became the leading online provider of wireless devices at the time. Created a single Automated Order Processing (AOP) system that integrated with major wireless carriers, including AT&T, Cingular, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon.

Developed Elerter™, a Windows client application (written in MFC) that automatically monitored one or more Web sites in the background, downloading breaking news and alerting the user when new content became available. From a small pop-up window, users could scan their alerts. Whenever users wanted to read an alert, one click took them directly to the full story.

Wrote a Windows application called CoreAlert that automatically monitored a Web site for breaking news and any other periodically updated information, then notified the user that updates were available. In addition to writing the code, I wrote the specifications and user documentation, and worked with our client to flesh out the application’s specifications. Created a new frame-based graphic format call BMA (Bitmap Animation). This format was designed to be a license-free alternative to animated GIFs. To support the new format, I also wrote ActiveX controls to display BMAs and to convert GIFs to BMAs. Both ActiveX controls were written in ATL 3.0.

Wrote and maintained the server-side and client-side code for Slate’s paid subscriptions. Created several other Web-based applications and components for Slate.I also worked as one of the first Web developers at MSNews (now MSNBC), and worked briefly at MSN.
