Lead Software Engineer
I was technical adviser on an Internal EPAM project in the domain of communication. My responsibilities included preparing of the documentation for the security assessment of the project. To achieve this I’ve described the application architecture with C4 model diagrams, after that with the help of security adviser updated the security documentation. The project’s assessment went successfully, during it we’ve found several issues, which I described. I fixed some and delegated others to other team membersIn addition to preparing for the security assessment I’ve been doing a regular developer tasks, and gained experience with the Azure cloud. Specifically, I worked with Azure KeyVault, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Service Bus, and Azure App Services. For connections between services, we used Kafka Message queue, and for databases, we used PostgreSQL.I also managed the Back-End Technical Backlog and Technical Debt in Jira.
Senior Dotnet Developer
I led a small development team that consisted of 3 developers and 1 support engineer. We were tasked with modernizing an ancient, unmaintainable solution in the warehouse management domain. My team successfully broke our part into microservices (we had to rewrite most of the code for it to work decently), containerized them with Docker and deployed to the AWS Cloud (I used the following technologies: AWS ECS, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, AWS CloudWatch). As a team lead, I have managed the technical backlog, set up the technical roadmap for the project, and synchronized the team progress with other teams. I was part of hiring process in our project and conducted interviews. I mentored both customers’ and EPAM’s employees. I also have written user manuals and runbooks for L1 Support team.As a developer, I have been working on 6 different microservices (all .Net Core Web APIs), documented their functionality, set up the CI/CD for them, with the combination of Gitlab CI/CD => AWS CodePipelines => AWS CodeBuild => AWS CodeDeploy.During the development I´ve gained extensive experience with the following technologies: AWS ECS, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, AWS CloudWatch.I set up Sonar Cloud to automatically calculate unit-test coverage of the code + find Code Smells, by that we have found out that our code coverage was very low, and improved it from 20% to 70%.The achievement I am most proud of is defining several company-wide standards, which were accepted and adopted by the customer. - First is a template of a .Net microservice, with all of the basic infrastructure code. This template standardized CI/CD, Terraform and Terragrunt infrastructure code across all of the teams.- Second is a standard of Health Checks, that standardized the process of creating of Health checks for .Net microservices + made them obligatory.
