Student Intern
Oberpfaffenhofen, Bavaria, Germany
This started as an internship during which I was mainly working as a software developer. Eventually I did write my Bachelors thesis with the same group which was more an engineering endeavour.I have developed an Android app that collects user data from different innate sensors. That app is being used in multiple measurement campaigns and enables different research to be performed. I have successfully used the data myself to develop positioning algorithms. The App also became the basis for a project related to automatic ticketing for public transport (E-Ticketing). I was also involved in the E-Ticketing project, working with an external partner on engineering the infrastructure and mediating between the software engineers and scientists. My thesis was about using GNSS and inertial data from the smartphone to perform sensor-fusion for precise localization. I have been using Kalman-Filter and implemented the whole process from reading and cleaning the raw data to final solution in post-processing using MATLAB. The Tech-Stack was mainly: MATLAB, Java, Android, GitLab, Python, MySQL
