Architect for a Business Intelligence software integration product, the Location Intelligence Component (LIC). The LIC integrates mapping and spatial analysis capabilities into the BI environments for Business Objects and MicroStrategy.Designed the integration solution for MicroStrategy Web/Web Universal. Developed the integration components for Report Services Documents, and for dashboards, which involved creating both a DHTML based visualization, as well as a Flash mapping widget. Expertise using the MicroStrategy Web SDK (Java) and the Visualization SDK (for Flash).Architected and implemented a Flash mapping Add-On for Business Objects Xcelsius. Collaborated with product management on setting product direction and feature requirements for each release. Technical liaison with BI partners. Technical mentor and resource for a team of twenty people spread across three geographies as well as resource for sales and professional services engineers.

Project lead developer and architect during the initial four releases of MapXtreme Java Edition. MapXtreme is a development tool that adds mapping content to Web applications. Responsible for project scheduling, resource allocations, and task assignments for eight developers. Consistently delivered projects in a timely manner, meeting aggressive schedules. Mentored other developers on Java technologies. Collaborated with product management on setting product direction and feature requirements for each release. Primary technical resource for QA, documentation, tech support, sales and professional services engineers. Developed and presented training courses to both internal and external MapXtreme developers.Designed and/or implemented several components including labeling, thematic shading, data access, JDBC connection pooling, Swing JavaBeans, and JNDI named resources.
