I graduated in 2022 with an MSc in Data Science. I have a strong passion for data and analytics.During my studies, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of data-driven projects and gained hands-on experience with statistical analysis, data modelling, and data visualization techniques. Through these experiences, I developed a deep understanding of the importance of accuracy and attention to detail when it comes to analysing and interpreting data.The course addresses the need to propel information-gathering and data organization, and exploit potential information and knowledge hidden in routinely collected data to improve decision-making. The course stretches the artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and decision science themes to business intelligence, data science and business analytics.The MSc has helped me develop skills in the use and application of various technologies, architectures, techniques, tools, and methods, including data warehousing and mining, distributed data management, and appropriate AI and ML techniques using tools such as R, Python, SQL and Tableau.Modules taken during the course include business analytics, data mining and machine learning, big data, data visualization and dashboarding, web and social media analytics and applied statistics. I completed my dissertation on the topic of using data mining and machine learning techniques to make predictions on the energy consumption of a building with the aim to reduce carbon footprint. UK based where I have lived since 2019, Currently I work as a Salesforce Business Analyst previous experience includes a Business Analyst/ Test Automation Engineer in a property tech software house. Between 2019 and 2022 I worked as a Business Analyst in the legal sector. Between 2017 and 2019 I worked and travelled Australia. In 2016 I graduated with an honours degree in Business information Systems where I obtained a 2.1 from Munster Technological University, formerly CIT. I also have experience working with programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, and I am comfortable working with data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Power BI. Additionally, I possess strong problem-solving skills and I can approach complex data analysis challenges with a logical and analytical mindset.
