Health Promotions Specialist
CurrentSupport Public Health staff with development and use of culturally appropriate training and program.Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders at the local level, and as required at state and regional level, to facilitate effective program recruitment, promotion, delivery and to develop their capacity to effectively integrate health promotion initiatives in their workMonitoring project progress and addressing any issues or challenges that arise.Planning, coordinating, and managing projects from inception to completion.Plan and deliver high quality health promotion events to reduce stigma and encourage help seeking for mental health challenges. Support the development of health promotion and suicide prevention resources. Support policy development which aims to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for the community.Support and advise Public Health Team Coordinators on the cultural sensitivities, needs and obligations of the Yolŋu community workforce.Work with Public Health Coordinators to develop appropriate workplans for Community Workers.
