I dealt with the day to day running of the library. My job included issuing books and returns, reshelving, stock checking, dealing with member signups, requests and reservations and dealing with overdues. I also assisted in taking story times for toddlers and parents. I was expected to be able to help the public with general enquires and be able to make recommendations as required. I have extensive IT experience and used my skills in the library to help with IT enquires and make posters for the various event held in the library. As part of the team at Denny Library, we were all given the opportunity to request training as needed, of which I attended training. I also provided relief cover in the other Falkirk Council libraries.
