I'm an experienced and versatile Broadcast Journalist and Reporter, who's been working in news, politics, and current affairs - as well as more than a little sidelining in sports - for the last decade. I've worked for a number of radio stations and news networks. I've also got extensive experience working in Online Journalism in terms of breaking news and as the Content Manager of a successful construction industry website and magazines during the boom years. Rugby is my particular passion in the sports arena and I worked for a time as the full-time Rugby Correspondent for Ireland's independent news agency INN as the sport's popularity mushroomed on the back of the Heineken Cup voyages and successes of Munster and subsequently Leinster, including the international highlight of the 2009 6Nations Grand Slam. I continue to work as the main Rugby reporter for FM104 in Dublin.I've a strong voice, with excellent writing and communication skills, a good eye for a story and solid news judgement, with a good ear for a clip and excellent audio editing skills. And I'm used to the pressures of working to regular deadlines in a busy national newsroom.
Listed skills include Radio, Journalism, Broadcast, Broadcast Journalism, and 15 others.
