Responsible for the management of all product development and support activities including Tier 1 support, Tier 2 support, Software development, Quality assurance, MAR Conversion and Data Corrections, Information Techology, and Training. Changed Daverci development focus from one of building tens of one-off internal tools to leveraging a few well-proven, high-quality, external tools and software components. Prepared budgets, staffing plans, product roadmaps as necessary. Responsible for the design and development of Daverci's iMAR application. Served as sounding board for development team on all technical issues from architectural in scope to implementation detail for all Daverci products and third-party integrations. Worked to optimize and efforted efficiencies in Training through computer-based training approach, MAR Conversion and Data Corrections improvements through form and process changes, IT reliability through policy modifications, and Software and QA resource leveraging through the continued use of 3rd-party components and tools. Participated in numerous pharmacy and facility account and support discussions. Participated in new prospect and potential partner demos, business calls, and strategy discussions. Prepared budgets, staffing plans, and roadmaps for all departments as necessary. Participated in fund raising efforts and investor pitches through eventual sale of company to private party.

Founder. Solely responsible for all aspects of the business, including all business development, contract negotiations, client communication, project management, software design, and software development, since founding the company in 1993. Creative Software Solutions, Inc. is a software design, development, and consulting firm specializing in custom, Microsoft Windows-based, web-based, and mobile solutions. The company serves a diverse local, national, and international client base.

Co-founded the company and built a world-class development team – including software engineers, QA, and technical writing staff. As COO, responsible for all engineering, marketing, sales, human resource, and operations activities. Actively participated in Portland and Seattle fund raising efforts, intellectual property discussions, public relations activities, major contract negotiations, and all major customer and partner calls. Worked with VP of Business Development, VP of Marketing, and Director of Sales to prepare for OEF Venture Oregon in 2000, obtain key accounts in the relevant vertical markets, and retain and support existing accounts in both the professional and consumer markets. Key accounts included Texas Instruments, Pillsbury, Emery Worldwide, and Kodak. As VP Engineering, architected an object-oriented, multimedia (voice, graphical annotations, text), communication and collaboration solution with 100msec resolution and significant user appeal. Received numerous industry media write-ups and favorable reviews on the eTEAM architecture and product solution. Delivered multiple products for Kodak contract - eTEAM SE was shipped on every Kodak Picture CD. Worked with Marketing to architect the InfoCast MediaHub launch to the eCRM industry. Received President’s Award for accomplishments.

Responsible for commercialization aspects of two year, multi-million dollar NIST project to develop proprietary, C++, UNIX-based, component modeling and optimization solutions for the electronic design automation market. Worked with research team to create industrial strength software applications based on team research directives. Specific emphasis was placed on solution usability resulting in numerous innovations in information layout/presentation and tool interaction. Developed solutions using C++ and Tcl/Tk languages, and RogueWave libraries. Hired to develop a C/C++ software interface for a Mixed Signal Simulation application for UNIX-based workstations based on Analogy and third-party software tools.

Technical lead for Windows-based user interface development. Designed and developed pre- MFC and, ultimately, MFC-based user interface toolkit for OrCAD Windows products. Prototyped and developed production code in the following areas: high speed graphics, memory management, DDE, OLE, DLLs, as well as other application-specific areas. Participated in Microsoft Windows for Workgroup Beta program. Participated in Microsoft Windows NT Beta program. Served as lead Microsoft technical contact and coordinated with Microsoft Corporation’s technical evangelists for Windows 16, Win32s, Win32, and all Windows NT platform issues. Consulted with project team in the release of the flagship Sun product. Developed Security/Licensing libraries for all OrCAD Sun products. Designed and developed Plotting application layer to interface with all existing DOS printer/plotter drivers. Demonstrated OrCAD software in Sun Microsystems’s booth at Design Automation Conference. Hired to design and develop a Sun/XView-based, Analog Simulation product to integrate with the announced release of the OrCAD Sun tool suite. Independently developed a highly graphical, industry-first user interface using Berkeley Spice3 as a server connected through sockets. Received Board of Directors Award for accomplishments.

Technical lead of Mixed Signal Simulation Product group. Developed architecture, functional specification, and working prototypes for multisolver technology; an integrated Analog and Digital Simulation capability within the Mentor 8.0 environment. Developed C++ class libraries for architecture; including solver manager, coordinator, interface models, and userware capability. Additional responsibilities included participating on committees responsible for company-wide policies on Model Selection and interfacing with the newly merged Silicon Compiler Systems Mixed Signal Simulation group. Technical lead of Power Conversion Product group. Integrated Analog Simulation and Thermal Simulation into a coherent product to support the power supply market. Worked with industry experts to validate quality of intermediate and final solutions. Enhanced existing algorithms to properly handle the numerical idiosyncrasies inherent to this vertical market. Hired to participate in the development of a new Analog Simulation kernel to replace existing, 3rd Party simulation product. Ported, enhanced, and maintained 125,000 line, 3rd Party software kernel in C, PAS, and FTN on the Apollo workstation. Received President’s Award for accomplishments.
