For more than 10 years, I have been responsible for leading both business development and project execution for a team of consultants that support a variety of DoD and Federal civil agency projects related to IT, including: • Program Management• Acquisition including DoDI5000.2 and Business Case Life-cycle (BCL) • Independent Validation & Verification, and• Information Assurance.Support of large Federal IDIQ's for agencies such as DHS (LMI is an EAGLEII Prime for FC), DLA, Army PMSS3, CMS, and others.

Participated in and led a variety of LMI projects. Most of the projects focused on early adoption of e-Commerce. Primarily utilizing American National Standards Institute’s Accredited Standards Committee (ANSI ASC) X12 Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards. Later projects included Extensible Markup Language (XML) exchanges.

I provided IT consulting services at nuclear power plants both in construction and operating modes around the country. Most of my effort was dedicated to a plant where I supervised 3 programmers and a 12 data entry clerks in designing, developing and operating a data base and that controlled all plant equipment from receipt at the site through installation in the plant. Other work at that plant included supporting a database that ordered equipment, and leading a team conducting IV&V of material in storage.

I led a team of consultants that supported: marketing, customer training and support, data preparation, and product development.We utilized a suite of Aspen developed advanced software for performing search and retrieval as well as producing printed reports on both textual and indexed data. These tools were primarily used in large scale litigations, state law and legislation, and Federal policy and information.

ERTS (currently LandSat) performs remote sensing of earth resources and environment. It was a relatively new program when I joined the USGS. My responsibilities were to develop a library of research reports based on ERTS images. The collection consisted of several hundred reports with more being added continuously. However, they were not organized, cataloged or otherwise available to the community. I developed a remote sensing classification scheme and cataloged all material per Library of Congress and USGS standards. At the time I left, I was developing a request for proposal to create an electronic version of the catalog to promote worldwide availability of the collection.
