In 2015, I left the PNNL campus to serve as a management and operations contractor for the Office of Material Management and Minimization (M3), within DOE, as Product Owner of the office’s new program management G2 subsystem. I assisted in technical integration of new and existing modules within G2, provided training to new users and kept office staff informed of G2 system changes. I strived to teach best practices in project management within M3.

In 2013, I was promoted as the deputy project manager for the Fuel Fabrication pillar lead. Duties included working with the Fuel Fabrication team, across the Department of Energy (DOE) complex, regarding the execution and management of scope, schedule, and budget of about $20 million annually. What I enjoyed most was working with the talented project managers and subject matter experts across the complex.

In 2008, I was recruited to come work at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) as a Project Controls Professional supporting the Material, Protection, Control, and Accounting (MPC&A) program and after a year and a half I transitioned over to the United States High Performance Research Reactor (USHPRR) project within the Global Threat Reduction Initiative (GTRI) program. I implemented work breakdown structures and time-phased budgets and provided cost and schedule reporting; provided critical path analysis and graphics; maintained baseline change control.

I started working for Kennewick General Hospital after graduating from BYU-H in 2004 as a Financial Analyst. One of the things I enjoyed about the work at the hospital was creating and analyzing profitability reports relative to certain procedures and insurance providers. Other responsibilities included providing a daily Key Performance Indicators report to executives, maintained the cost accounting system, and provided reports to clinical managers so they could make important decisions.
