In 1984, I became a Nationwide Insurance Company Business Agent, focusing on business, group health and life insurance policies. During these five years with Nationwide, I was recognized by the company with both Pace Setter and Challenger Awards, as well as for his achievements in life insurance production.In 1989, I left Nationwide to become an area sales manager with Crum and Forrester Personal Insurance. During a three-year stint with Crum and Forrester, I was recognized as the 1990 Regional Area Sales Manager of the Year.
