Don Urban began his career attending trade school studying the construction business. His first job began with Nolan Associates in Delaware. There he completed a four-year union apprentice program in construction management. After, he began his own construction company in 1983. A contract with Ferguson & Flynn Builders resulted in an offer to be Superintendent for Newark, Delaware’s “Grantchester”. After successfully completing that project, Don accepted a position with Raven Hill Construction in New Jersey as a project manager where he managed multiple communities. After, he was approached by Rouse Chamberlin Homes. He took his skills to a new level managing multiple custom home communities. After a 5 year stay, Don was approached by Iacobucci Homes/Baker Residential, to take on a new challenge in a developing market – the active adult market -- as a project manager to start their first active adult community, “Ovations at Elk View” in Chester County, PA. Consisting of 280 single family and twin homes with a 7,000 square foot clubhouse, it set the standard for active adult housing nationally, winning many awards. The Pinnacle was the National Senior Housing Council of the N.A.H.B. Gold Award for “Community of the Year” as well as 5 local Pyramid Awards, including “Active Adult Community of the Year” in the $300,000-$400,000 category and “Best Community Clubhouse”. In 2007, Don won “Project Manager of the Year” from the Home Builders Association of Chester and Delaware Counties. Don has run multiple single family and town home communities including “Pine Valley at Glen Mills”, an assortment of estate homes. With all the knowledge and experience that Don holds in the residential market, he continues to build custom homes and manage projects, most recently site development of “Estates at London Grove”.
