Dr Moore is a private independent primary care practitioner in Brooklyn, NY. He is an Attending Physician at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where he chairs the Ethics Committee. Dr Moore teaches medical students from Weill Medical College of Cornell University and SUNY Downstate Medical Schools where he is Clinical Assistant Professor Dr. Moore is President of Provident Clinical Society, the Brooklyn affiliate of the NMA. He has served as t President of the Association of Yale Alumni in Medicine and President of the Medical Society of the County of Kings. He chairs and serves on many committees in both the state and county medical societies and as board member of several healthcare and community organizations.Dr Moore is a board member and serves on the executive committee of Physicians for a National Health Insurance (PNHP-Metro). He has lectured frequently on health reform and health disparitiesDr. Moore received the Distinguished Alumni Service Award from the Association of Yale Alumni in Medicine in 2005 and an award for teaching excellence from Weill Cornell Medical School in 2000. As an “outstanding graduate” of Pace University, Dr. Moore was inducted to the Dyson Society of Fellows of Pace University 1994. In 1990 he delivered the alumni address at the Inauguration of the President of Pace University. He has been recognized for his humanitarian efforts in health care delivery by the NYS Senate and the US Congress.Dr. Moore has used EHR technology to further his commitment to delivering quality medical care to his patients. He was among the first physicians in the country to attest successfully to Stage 1 Meaningful Use and played an active role in driving EHR adoption. He was a recipient of the “MSSNY HIT Pilot Program Grant Funding”, and served on committees of New York eHealth Collaborative. Dr. Moore is the Chair of the Health Information Technology committee of the Medical Society of the State of New York.Dr Moore is Chair of Committee on Physicians Health (CPH) of the medical Society of the State of New York and he serves on the Wellness and Resilience Committee.Dr. Moore has completed over 10,000 in home visits since 1984. He has been the recipient of New York State grant, “The Geriatric in Home Demonstration Project". As a recognized thought leader in public health, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, cholesterol disorders and HIV, Dr. Moore has served as consultant and speaker for pharmaceutical companies and delivered numerous lectures at continuing medical education conferences and symposia.
