As the IT Manager for this full-service boutique investment firm, I oversee all IT operations. I lead IT infrastructure, Help Desk, and Communications systems to ensure optimal employee access and reliability. I manage and coordinate IT vendors, including communication and support, and monitor vendor service delivery to ensure adherence to SLA’s, deadlines, and project parameters. Additionally, I collaborate with the Compliance department to ensure IT processes and technologies align with strict financial regulations and guidelines. In this role, I support approximately 100 users in 5 locations. Key Achievements:• Developed an Intranet to deliver one-stop access to all current forms, notices, and research etc.• Reduced IT spending by more than $200k per year; renegotiated contracts for more favorable pricing.• Boosted productivity by enhancing bandwidth and redundancy at branch offices and Head Office (5 locations in total).• Saved more than $100k in capital expenditures; led IT Project Management for transition of electronic communications and compliance to cloud services.

In this position, I managed a 5 person IT team (junior and senior technicians) and supported 300 employees in 2 locations for this investment research and analysis organization. I managed the allocation of resources; collaborated with developers, operators, database managers, and IT Director; and aligned IT with organizational objects. I directed IT projects and monitored progress; resolved communications, hardware, and software issues; and managed a PBX telephony system. Additionally, I coordinated with IT/communication vendors to ensure SLA compliance.Key Achievements:• Relocated the distribution center, including personnel equipment and communications systems.• Managed multiple vendors simultaneously, including IT support, communication companies, ISPs, Disaster Recovery providers, and Core Location Facilities.• Instituted Help Desk culture change; transitioned staff to a more client-centric, service delivery focus.
