I've spent more than four decades in the business of writing and editing. During the last 20 years, my focus has been on freelance writing. For almost all of my writing, I've done my own research, both online and off, including telephone and face-to-face interviews where possible.Before getting into the freelance writing business on a full-time basis, I worked as the Managing Editor-Phillipsburg of The Journal of Commerce, a New York City-based daily (five days a week) newspaper concentrating on international commerce and transportation. After leaving that position as a full-time, salaried employee, much of my early freelance work was done for the newspaper.
