I take pride and enjoy being both a mentor and a protégé, teaching and learning, growing and guiding, and being creative and procedurally compliant. There's nothing more rewarding in life to me than serving others, whether that be solving a complex problem with electronic equipment, the lightbulb moment during training sessions, or the genuine appreciation from someone who just needs to be heard and someone there to listen. I'm a deep and critical thinker, but it's also very refreshing to simply read and understand the black and white from a tech manual.I've been practicing and growing my electronics technician skills since 2012, conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on primarily navigation and radar system electronics including Ship's Inertial Navigation System/Ring Laser Gyro Navigator (WSN-7), ship's GPS (SSN-6 NAVSSI), Digital Electromagnetic Log DEML (WSN-8), Digital Hybrid Speed Log (WSN-9), Scalable Integrated Bridge System, Integrated Bridge Navigation System, ECDIS-N, VMS, SCS-Gov, Navigation Critical Distribution System, Fathometer (UQN-4A), Portable GPS (PSN-13B), Emergency Navigation Laptop, Automated Identification System, Man Overboard Indicator, SPS-67 Surface Search Radar, SPS-73 Navigation Radar, SIMRAD Navigation Radar and Pelorus course indicators. Additionally as IT help desk support, provided hardware and software support, maintained inventory, and assisted with network configuration and security IAVAs.Naturally, I've become accustomed to training what I've learned, from 3M to life skills, and I greatly enjoy the challenge of finding the correct method of training on diverse topics.
