Works on Diabetes product series localization and innovation. Led new CGM algorithm platform and T2 diagnostic recommendation. Led next generation software project which adds customized & advanced features coupled with HIS integration capabilities. These efforts are in-line with China Diabetes R&D vision of building a suite of software customized to the unique Chinese customers’ needs, and potentially other markets.

Joined Medtronic Shanghai Innovation Center in April 2014 as the center’s first software engineering personnel. In the past 3+ years, Authored and maintained MSIC Software Development Process and contributed technically in cross BU projects (launched in July 2015 and in December 2017). Most recently, served as the technical lead for Diabetes software that was successfully launched in China in October 2016. In that role, continuously to contribute outside my defined role to ensure deliverables. Took on the challenge to lead the commercialization of the product in Korea by working with an international team spanning different geographies (China, US, Korea, Singapore) and functions. Led non-PDP project development phases, worked with cross function team members to drive product localization, released within 8 months, supports Class II software registration in China FDA.Delegated to work on diabetes product maintenance in hospital, focus on diabetes patients data management local solution.

Led quick win project R&D stages and brought to pilot manufacturing stage within 12 months.Led PDP project software function team(5 engineers), created BU software development and testing capability, architected firmware design and optimized PID controller algorithm, supported prototype clinical trials.Found center level software development procedure including 23 deliverables and SOUP validation sample.

Responsible to develop infusion pump.Responsible to develop pump simulator tools for testing and engineering, filed infusion pump accuracy calibration patent.Explored and recommended innovative, creative and complex technology for next generation pump.Led major projects and provides guidance and direction to engineers and/or technicians on the duration of project.
