Program Manager in the Defense Research Projects Agency (DARPA)Initiated and brought to fruition a national research portfolio in computer science disciplines including artificial intelligence, cognitive systems, robotics, social computing, multi-agent systems, natural language processing, and computer vision. I take pride in supporting fundamental research that advances the technical state of the art, and transitioning results from the laboratory to solve real-world challenges.Mind’s Eye: A multidisciplinary research program focused on developing humanlike visual intelligence for a new generation of smart cameras suitable for robotics and for fixed applications. Computer Science Study Group: Supported and mentored 72 computer science professors in universities nationwide, introducing them to many defense-related funding sources and collaborators, and assisting them in initiating further funded applied research efforts.Application Communities: Research program for security in computing monocultures using software self-healing through collaborative adaptation. Software Producibility: Research program to develop next-generation software development tool chain that promotes model-based adaptation for adaptive software engineering and configuration of deployed programs.
