As the Office Manager, my responsibilities were for managing the Office Services functions and staff. The role included delivering operational excellence, consistency of approach, resourcing, performance management across multiple service lines. I was the lead Health and Safety Officer ensuring the office was compliant with all aspects of Health and Safety. Leading teams and supporting staff based across 3 separate office locations Key aspects of the role included:• Work closely with the Building Manager for the Newcastle office ensuring all building matters and facilities are communicated to the DAC Beachcroft Clients• Liaising with contractors to resolve Facilities issues within the office and obtaining all Health and Safety documentation. • Providing support to the Health and Safety Manager in DAC Beachcroft to ensure Audit compliant in all areas of Health and Safety across 3 sites, including Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh• Updating Health and Safety records for personnel, buildings and contractors on Filesite and SharePoint systems. • Advising personnel on DSE; setting up work stations and carrying out postural checks.• Recording on site Accidents and Near misses to the Health and Safety Manager• Leading the teams to focus and deliver Office Services Excellence including but not limited to: Post (electronic and manual), reprographics, scanning, front of house, facilitating meetings, office supplies.• Assisted the Client Service Manager in the successful TUPE transfer of 6 employees in the Glasgow and Edinburgh offices in Scotland• Working closely with Practice, Governance and risk team to ensure my office is compliant in all areas• Meet with the Secretarial Managers and Team Leaders to discuss feedback on Office Services and also how to improve service delivery • Providing fortnightly status reports to the Regional Senior Partners and Operations Managers in both Newcastle and Scotland offices
