Procurement Leader
CurrentResponsible for purchasing and negotiating parts, components, equipment and supplies from vendors. Will evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine best in class suppliers. Ensure purchasing activities meet required delivery dates and budgets. Solicit bid proposals and review requisitions Ensures the inventory integrity for the warehouse system Interviews vendors and visits suppliers' plants and distribution centers to examine and learn about products, services and prices Responsible for purchasing functions and the development of procurement strategies for the acquisition of both electrical and mechanical components.Review and place purchase orders electronically, for all electrical and mechanical components. Collaborate with materials department along with electrical and mechanical engineers to establish inventory safety stock levels, reorder amounts, and lead times for all electrical and mechanical componentsSource new and alternative components Establish, build, and maintain relationships with all key suppliers Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers Review and resolve any discrepancies with supplier invoices, grievances, claims, conflicts, product non-conformance or quality issues Provide electrical and mechanical components projections to key suppliers to ensure product availability on a timely basis Evaluate all purchase orders to ensure that order quantities are the most cost effective possible for material and freight costs Arrange supplier meetings to review and resolve any problems or issues as needed Communicate all pertinent issues and concerns regarding suppliers, electrical and mechanical components goods to all appropriate Managers and staff
