With over 25 years of experience in livestock management and regenerative agriculture, I am passionate about improving soil and ecosystem health, enhancing food security, and empowering small-scale farmers. As the Director of Regeneration at Heifer International, I lead the outreach and implementation of climate-smart farming practices and education within the Heifer USA network and beyond. I am motivated by Heifer's vision of ending hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth, and I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, having worked in different regions and contexts around the world.In my current role, I am responsible for the continuous improvement of Heifer USA's regenerative agriculture and holistic management practices, using Heifer Ranch as the central hub for this work. I manage and execute projects that involve pasture-based livestock management, soil health assessment, carbon sequestration, water conservation, biodiversity enhancement, and farmer training. I also partner with other organizations, experts, and stakeholders to advance the knowledge and adoption of regenerative agriculture principles and practices. Some of the skills that I use and develop in this role are project management, communication, collaboration, leadership, and innovation.
