Provide technical assistance to all Michigan acute care hospitals participating in the CMS Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient Quality Reporting (IQR & OQR) Programs. Hospitals participating in the IQR and/or OQR programs must meet many CMS requirements to be eligible for an Annual Payment Update (APU) each fiscal year. The requirements include abstracted measures such as process of care measures, healthcare associated infections (HAI), and patient experience of care measures known as HCAHPS. Work extensively with the QualityNet website, both the public and secure site, as well as the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). Provide QualityNet education to hospitals for new and existing staff, as well as provide education for hospitals in use of the CMS Abstraction and Reporting Tool (CART). Developed and distributed Hospital Value Based Purchasing (HVBP) fact sheets for PPS hospitals in Michigan that were eligible for HVBP. Provide technical support to all Michigan critical access hospitals (CAH's) in voluntary quality reporting requirements for Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project (MBQIP). Participate in the Michigan Critical Access Hospital (MICAH) Quality Network quarterly meetings.Editor of quarterly MPRO hospital reporting program newsletter distributed to hospitals providing updates, education and other helpful information and tips. Created and maintain the MPRO Hospital Reporting Program website to provide hospitals weekly updates to the CMS inpatient and outpatient hospital quality reporting programs. Use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
