Prior to working as a psychotherapist, I practiced as an RN, and a Certified Nurse Manager. I have lived and worked in West Africa and Central America, as a healthcare provider. I've practiced in Public Schools, Community Mental Health, and for ten years in Private Practice. Other Professional development experiences include training at the indianapolis Gestalt Institute, Narrative Therapy, completion of a two year program in Advanced Psychotherapy at the Cincinnati Institute of Psychotherapy and extensive training in Play Therapy/ Sand Tray Therapy and Couple Therapy. I have studied for three years with the International Psychotherapy Institute out of Washington DC and continue to do so. My medical background, seminary preparation and cross cultural experiences have cultivated a well rounded approach to mental health and spiritual discernment.
