I am responsible for the enforcement of these ordinances including but not limited to litter and most any non hazardous environmental violation to ensure the highest quality of life for the residents of our County. My job requires me to compile various reports and records, maintain a flexible schedule and investigate and gather information for court cases. I have completed many training courses to include; Environmental Crime Investigations training with SEEN, Courtroom Testimony and Safety in the Workplace. I currently serve as the President of South Carolina Litter Control Association and serve with the Environmental Enforcement Committee of South Carolina. I enjoy my job and the opportunity to work with and serve the citizens of Dorchester County. I have been instrumental in organizing and monitoring the Assign A Highway program in Dorchester County. Hundreds of bags of litter have been removed from our roads since the Assign A Highway program was introduced to Dorchester County. This program would not be the success that it is without the support of our Circuit Court Judges, Probation and Parole, Dorchester County Public Works / Environmental and Palmetto Pride, we work together to make Dorchester County and South Carolina a beautiful place to live.My off duty life is spent with my husband Bruce, family and friends. We have 4 wonderful sons, 2 beautiful daughter in laws, one precious grand daughter and one precious grandson. Bruce and I live on a farm where we raise miniature donkeys and paint/quarter horses. We also compete in cowboy shooting competitions where we shoot steel targets with single action firearms. We love competing in this sport and have met some wonderful friends on our travels.
