I remember I was sitting at a bus stop when a middle age gentleman started chatting. It started casual with remarks about the weather, but soon he began recounting his life as Vietnam veteran. A Canadian who volunteered for an American war. I listened captivated by every word. He described his experience as a skinny nineteen year old, big enough to fit into the enemy's inconspicuous underground labyrinth. Armed with a fully loaded glock Smith & Wesson in tow, he was ready to fire at will, the year was 1968. My life is littered with stories - sometimes unexpected, intimate, moving. And it's in these moments when I least expect the most profound tales; an experience that will forever be forged in my memory. Do you ever pinch yourself and ask the question, “Why me?” I believe people & opportunities come at pivotal times to expand one’s understanding of life, to learn, to grow, to evolve. I’m grateful everyday for my ability to write about amazing subjects, and for that I pinch myself everyday.

For me, the essence of effective social media management lies in cultivating relationships; only through said relationships can one understand the nuance of a companies ethos. I view the online sphere as a story of branding and marketing- hence modern day storytelling. With any good story one has to captivate, and engage an audience through unique means. Through SEO driven analysis, thinking outside the box, thus standing out in the digital landscape.
