I am currently working on a degree in Emergency Management from Bellevue University. My graduation date is in the spring of 2021. I chose this degree because it is a way to help others become prepared for extreme situations. I write fiction under the pen name D.S. Marsh and am currently authoring a paranormal romance series called the Guardians of the Gate. This series is about a family who has been charged with guarding an interdimensional gate.I have belonged to writing organizations such as Romance Writers of America, Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, and SouthWest Writers. Through a number of critique groups, I have gained valuable experience and incorporated peer feedback to help me improve my craft. My writing has included fiction, editing and writing in parent newsletters and assigned articles.
