I was most recently an executive assistant with more than 40 years’ experience in industry - having served in various communications capacities and executive assistant roles. A little about my amazing career: I started out as an executive assistant and office manager right out of college. I worked my way up in the pharma biotech arena to become vice president and head of investor relations and corporate communications for Agouron Pharmaceuticals, a $600M pharmaceutical company sold to Warner Lambert for $2.3B in 1999. I was a member of the executive team that raised more than $550M to advance research in cancer and AIDS. I helped to bring the first HIV protease inhibitor to market for both adults and children. My advocacy work helped the company to obtain approval for that product, Viracept, in only nine months. After we sold the company and my departure in 2000, I founded and ran a small independent record label for 10 years and spent my newly found early retirement as a small time philanthropist. I still own and run that record label. I am not looking for work but happy to mentor.
