At William Osler, I conduct original research as the primary lead in direct collaboration with the Medical Director of Supportive and Palliative Care, Dr. Martin Robert Chasen. My research focuses are in oncology, survivorship, and palliative care in the hospital and community setting, discovering ways to implement patient-centered care through innovation and technology. Currently, I lead research projects on:· The internationally ESMO-recognized Cancer Survivorship Clinic at Brampton Civic Hospital and Etobicoke General Hospital. · Our Abbott-sponsored trial on the use of Ensure Protein Max to support the nutritional and metabolic needs of patients receiving chemotherapy. · The Virtual Palliative Home Care Intervention initiated by Osler in 2018 to support patients with accessible and convenient care in the comfort of their homes.At Osler, we are always looking for passionate individuals who want to make a tangible difference in patient lives through research and innovation. Research student with Humber River Hospital, in collaboration with William Osler Health System, designing and coordinating research implementation strategies in preparation for our Health Canada RELIEF App study. Through this multi-site study, we aim to determine the effectiveness of this novel technological application for remote self-reporting of symptoms for patients with palliative care needs.

• Lead a team of 100+ volunteers from 20 universities and high schools from three countries to conduct scientific and social research projects using the inquiry-model approach• Host a platform for youth to create and present academic content from any discipline through articles, videos, podcasts, interviews, and other mediums • Create a network of 50+ university advisors from the STEM field available to secondary school students via one-on-one pairings

• Collaborate with Armed Forces personnel to negotiate strategies that tackle challenges facing Canadian youth in a modern context • Direct training in collaboration with senior Royal Canadian Air Cadets concerning leadership, citizenship, and military etiquette for a squadron of 150+ cadets• Train 30+ pilot candidates for the national cadet pilot qualification written examination and interview

• Directed all operations and logistics at 845 Avro Arrow Squadron, overseeing the training of cadets, the governing structure of the corps, and the innovation of new instruction opportunities • Liaised between the Canadian Armed Forces, the Air Cadet League of Canada, and the squadron cadets to ensure optimal cooperation for mutual interests• Served as the official head of the squadron, representing and commanding the corps in formal occasions, public appearances, and all cadet-related activitiesAppointments to higher ranks occur after the cadet has met certain nationally prescribed standards. The specific criteria for all ranks are established to ensure that all cadets who receive a rank promotion possess the same qualifications and experiences.The maximum established positions for Chief Commander is one per squadron, hence promotions are based on the results of a merit review board. The composition of the merit review board includes a minimum of three to a maximum of five members. As appointed by the squadron commanding officer, members include: Commanding officer acting as board chairperson; Air Cadet League or local sponsor representative; and a minimum of one and maximum of three additional members.

• Coordinated and planned the mandatory, optional, and extracurricular training of all cadets at the squadron alongside Canadian Armed Forces Officers, platoon commanders, and the Chief Commander• Directed the admissions and rifle drill training of the prestigious squadron Flag Party• Served as an official representative of the corps in formal occasions, public events, and all other cadet-related activities

• Supervised and instructed training on public leadership, citizenship, aviation, and Canadian politics to junior cadets• Cooperated with senior commanders to achieve the squadron objectives and standards in military drill, deportment, and aptitude as directed by the Chief Commander and Commanding Officer• Served as the recruit instructor to coordinate the planning and training of new squadron candidates

• Established significance in the field of public service alongside senior cadet commanders and Armed Forces Officers through coordinating military parades, fundraising for veteran-related causes, and attending government-sponsored citizenship seminars• Developed a profound understanding for effective organizational structures through experiencing a well-defined chain of command complemented with military etiquettes

• Oversee and provide advisory reports to a team of 100+ volunteers creating scientific articles, interview podcasts, research studies, and STEM conferences aimed at Canadian youth• Mentor to 45 internal committee members, specializing in health sciences research, community leadership opportunities, and post-secondary mentorship• Establish partnerships and outreach opportunities with nonprofits and businesses for mutual expansion benefits
