Maintain employee files for approximately 300 employees in 3 Oregon shops, 1 Colorado shop, 1 Texas shop, and a currently undisclosed shop.Investigate employee complaints and work with shop managers to resolve issues. Report potential liabilities to the CEO.Develop, implement, and oversee new management curriculum for all managers.Develop, implement, and oversee employee sick time/vacation policy.Work with insurance broker to see that rates remain competitive and within ACA standards for medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans. Oversee all plans. Process all aspects of payroll from hire through termination via ADP WorkForce Now.Handle new employee onboarding including paperwork processing, insurance forms, company orientation, and handbook acknowledgement. Audit I-9's to ensure compliance. Enter, monitor, and close garnishments, child support payments, tax levies, and other deductions.Audit employee files bi-weekly to calculate insurance contributions and vacation eligibility. Field employee phone calls and respond to various payroll and benefit inquiries. Audit payroll after each bi-weekly cycle, following up with un-cashed checks on ESCHEAT reports, and annually to ensure accurate insurance contributions. Ensure OFLA, FMLA, and OMFLA benefits are accurately processed. Run payroll and benefits reports using ADP reporting and update records regarding anniversary testing, insurance eligibility testing, and period-end payroll summaries. Respond to unemployment claims and W-2 inquiries and follow up regarding hearings. Input benefits enrollment paperwork and enter deductions to ADP. Responsible for yearly benefits, open enrollment, and end of month compliance audits.
