-Systematic quantification of risks attached to any process, asset, the environment or people's activities that may result in ill-health, injury or loss to any asset or property or that threatens the image or reputation of the company -Execute and lead the facilitation of risk identification ,evaluation and proactive action systems -Business Continuity Management -Occupational /industrial hygiene monitoring -Interpretation of all statutory requirements (including resolutions from international bodies / councils) -Training and education of leadership in the methodology of risk control techniques for effective risk mitigation measures -Implementation of occupational safety and environmental health management systems-Investigation and root cause analyses of all incidents and influence the implementation of justified preventative measures through cost benefit analyses-Implementation of risk management policies, programmes and monitoring of standard operating procedures to promote and encourage safety based behavior-Develop and facilitate safety and occupational health awareness programmes to create a culture and climate conducive to participation and understanding of SHE management systems-Liase with stakeholders , local authorities, private industries and provincial government to gauge and ensure compliance with existing occupational health and safety legislation-Effective control over non-compliance and good corporate governance-Implementation of the Enterprise Wide Risk Management procedures to ensure adequate risk treatment-Monitor planning and / or infrastructure / development of existing or new projects to ensure theinclusion of risk management overview and guidance-Ensure effective monitoring of compliance in terms of all applicable legislation -Conduct research for the development of standards, guidelines and procedures in line with international best practice.
