Personal Summary:My main objective is to advance in the industry through working experience as well as external learning opportunities to one day become a respected employee in senior management.Job Summary:Estimates screen printing or textile printing or digital imaging production and signage job costs.Consults with internal and external sales to discuss and formulate estimates.Analyzes sketches, drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documents toprepare time, cost, labour, percentage of profit, and material estimates for variousproduction jobs by performing the following duties personally.Duties and Responsibilities:• Receive all quotation requests from the sales department and prepareestimates.• Gather information necessary to estimate job including artwork,blueprints, specifications, and other related material.• Work closely with internal and external sales to formulate estimates andresolve conflicts.• Compile list of material, labour, and time requirements, and estimatesequipment requirements and sub contracted services, utilizing knowledgeof products and printing techniques.• Receive and check for correctness, purchase orders for printing andimaging jobs or accounts.• Computes cost estimates and price summaries for specified jobs, andpresents prepared estimates.• Check job cost sheets daily for accuracy.• Check daily labour cost summary for adherence to schedule, overtimeaccrual, productive and non-productive labour, and makeover costs.• Maintain cost data base, cleanliness of work area and equipment, technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and seminars, continuing education courses, and reading related technical publications.• Drawing up sketches/mock-ups.• Stock control, which includes receiving and issuing of stock/equipment/materials, stock takeand checking of relevant paperwork.• Recommend measures to improve performance in the department.
