-Support the Store Manager with the effective running of the store.-Contribute to the achievement of store targets and strive to exceed.-Take responsibility for all aspects of managing the store in the Store Managers absence.-Effective management of store team.-Ensure promotional items are actioned, merchandised and sold effectively to maximise sales.-Provide excellent Customer Service throughout the store at all times.-Maintain an up to date level of product knowledge and carry out staff product knowledge training.-Handle cash and card transactions efficienctly to avoid discrepancies.-Manage customer returns, exchanges and complaints professionally.-Lead by example and take challenges head on.-Training of new and current employees to a high standard.-Participate in Stock Takes, taking ownership for all stock within store.-Keep store clean, tidy and store paperwork organised.-Adhere to policies and enforce to staff.-Effective rota management in line with business and store requirements providing sufficient cover.-Cash and stock correctly maintained.-Maintain excellent timekeeping for store to run efficiently.-Responsible for opening and closing of store.-Ensure all legal requirements in relation to 'The Sale of Goods Act' and Health & Safety legislation are in place and visible at all times.-Follow Disciplinary, Grievance and Performance Management Procedures under the guidance of the Store and Area Manager.-Promote equality in the workplace and throughout the recruitment process.-Monitor Staff and build positive team environment.-Communicate with Head Office and Area Management Team.
