I lead a consumer innovation team for UPMC Health Plan. My team consists of UX, Product Management, and Experience Design. We use human centered design to improve our members’ experience and to help our business scale.

Helping Stanford Health Care define the product strategy for digital health products and services that can have a positive impact on Stanford Health Care’s business and patient experience. Working closely with the internal teams and stakeholders to define a winning set of features and services for MyHealth, Stanford Health Care's patient-facing web and mobile apps.

- Helped a wide range of established companies and early-stage startups define new products and services.- Helped Samsung define a new fitness app experience to complement a new wearable device- Helped Hay Group / Korn Ferry define a new product evaluation process based on Lean Startup principles- Led the product definition process for two commercial Android apps and the beaming service that is preinstalled on over 100M Samsung Android phones- Led the product, design, and development teams that built the Beep'nGo app - an Android mobile retail app with over 10M users- Defined a new workplace wellness solution to help teams within the enterprise stay more fit- Defined an enterprise performance management solution and conducted two pilots of the MVP at VMware- Helped Dropbox figure out an approach to a major partner- Advised Inception Mobile, a developer tools startup that was acquired by Microsoft

- Defined innovative new experiences for Samsung's Mobile Division that incorporated apps and technologies from leading Silicon Valley startups- Served as the entry point for U.S. companies looking for deep partnership- Drove partnerships from initial meeting, through contract negotiations, to first deployment- Commercialized solutions with leading companies like Swype, Pulse, Peel, Dropbox, Evernote, Glympse and many more- Led a software development (Android) team that integrated partner solutions into Samsung Android smartphones and tablets- Evaluated M&A opportunities and helped Samsung Mobile acquire a company

- Defined a smartphone that ultimately became the original Droid- Defined social networking, location based services and web widgets for smartphones- Led a 9-person product management team that drove the SCREEN3 solution (like Pointcast for mobile)

- Led a team of product marketing mgrs focused on Java, BREW, and Location Based Services for Nokia's CDMA handsets.- Created developer ecosystem for Nokia's BREW-enabled phones.

- Founder of a venture-backed telecom hardware company that raised $9.2M of funding from a tier-one venture firm.- Drove marketing, product, engineering, and lots of other things.
