I am the CEO at Real People Financial Services (Uganda) Ltd, a credit only Finance Company focused on SME Lending. I have worked in the banking and finance industry at senior executive levels in leading companies namely: FINCA Uganda, CBA Bank (Now NCBA Bank), Bank of Africa and Standard Chartered bank. My expertise is in business management, business strategic planning & execution, corporate finance and development finance.I hold an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Makerere University. I have attained trainings in Credit Extension, Business restructurings, Executive Leadership, Customer Service and Sales Management, among others. I have country work experience in all EA countries.I have a passion for farming (coffee and cattle). I enjoy working out and competing in running marathons. For volunteer and causes, I am a Rotarian, I care about environmental protection and economic empowerment in poor communities. I love animals especially long horned cows.

In Retail Banking, I was engaged in branch expansion, Products Development and Marketing and sales Team recruitment and motivation. I was leading a team of over 100 staff deployed in sales and service. The bank’s extensive Branch network (Over 30 Braches) across the country exposed me to all regions of Uganda. My engagement with the bank’s East Africa business growth initiatives exposed me to businesses and operations in Kenya, Tanzania and Burundi. In Corporate and SME, I was engaged in Corporate and Business Finance. We participated in several corporate syndication deals with other financiers in Uganda and the region. Bank of Africa gave me the foundation of working with Boards to deliver company objectives which has been instrumental in my later roles experiences. -

I started at the bottom of the pyramid as an Accounts Services officer and I later took on several assignments and changes in roles and by the time I left the bank I was a Relationship Manager. It is at Stanchart that my passion for sales and customer service was identified and developed. I received the best training and got the best exposure both in country and abroad. Learning and sharing experiences with the best in class was always my best moment. Later my sales skills were enriched with Relationship management skills and experiences and this developed me into one of the best Relationship Managers in the bank at the time, taking part in several deals structuring and management.
