Provided engineering/technical support for state client (California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation) in the development of the Strategic Offender Management System (SOMS), through initial development work and all subsequent deployments. Developed a strong knowledge of all aspects of the SOMS system, including networking, middleware, application and other technical areas, as well as the documentation and staffing side of the SOMS solution.Technical lead for the Technology Management Unit, providing technical oversight, direction, consistency to drive projects to completion. Coordinated and managed technical plan, development, and deployment effort for functional software/systems deployments. Directed technical project staff with the development of requirements, build delivery, coordination of work, from initial project stages through deployment. Role also required meeting facilitation, written/verbal reports to project managers and executive leadership, strong communication and negotiation skills, risk management and response, and development of strong client relationships.
