IMET 2000, the International Medical Education Trust 2000, is a British registered charity that aims to educate tomorrow's generation of health professionals to a global standard of expertise.In our pursuit of accomplishing our goal we established the IMET2000-Pal to service health professionals in Palestine. There are five key principles to our vision:• Promote and support alliances between Health and academic institutions within and outside of Palestine.• Advance and facilitate exchange programs for healthcare professionals to broaden their skills.• Provide health professionals with lifelong learning via traditional training and electronic continuing education opportunities.• Initiate and support research programs for health related issues.• Provide a rich access to networking opportunities, resources and products.MissionThe overall mission of the Palestinian Health Sciences Education Center is to provide high level professional education services to support and enhance the learning capacity of all involved in health science education and service delivery as a continuing lifelong learning experience. In doing so, it will undertake research and development to pioneer and exploit all modalities of the IT revolution including video-conferencing, telemedicine, website learning and internet connections and vehicles such as Moodle, aspiring to establish an international reputation as a center of excellence, eventually to have a major impact on patient care in Palestine.
