I have lead projects of all sizes - from small shops to global M&A initiatives, as well as in many different verticals including non-profit, manufacturing, private equity, financial services, and bio-tech. Service delivery is a passion of mine - I thrive on making environments not only better, easier to use, but most of all more secure. My focus is on delivering solutions in networking, NGFW, Secure Remote Access, SASE, CASB, Identity, and EDR/MDR space. As Senior Architect, I have had the opportunity to work with new technologies and go deeper into learning about technologies I was already versed in.Some of my accomplishments at Impelix include -* Design, implement, and support Check Point firewall infrastructure in all types of environments - from simple single-gateway deployments to integration into complex environments, including AWS.* Design, implement, and support deployments of Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including into AWS and vCloud Air.* Play a key role in the technical development of our Managed Check Point offering, including deploying Check Point Multi-Domain Management in AWS.* Manage network and security design for private equity carve-outs - this includes maintaining continuity throughout the transition to independence from the parent company all while maintaining a cost conscious, but effective strategy for transition, including global travel.* Provide support for our array of clients, from SMB to global manufacturing firms.

As Sr. Network Manager for the YMCA of Metro Chicago, I am responsible for network design and maintenance for one of the state’s largest non-profits - a $90 million organization consisting of over 50 sites spread across three states with upwards of 4,000 employees. Included in this scope of responsibility is LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi architecture and maintenance, network security, server virtualization, and storage administration. I am also principally responsible for maintenance, design, and vendor selection for both legacy and next-gen telecom infrastructure, including PBX and VoIP deployments. I also play key roles and manage special projects that arise, such as portions of our recent ERP overhaul and mobile app development. I currently manage relationships and negotiate contracts with key information technology vendors, as well as develop strategies for better IT / Business alignment.
