Dora C. Boehnen, MAOTR/L, CHAMP has 24 years of professional experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist. In 1992 Dora earned her bachelor of science in Occupational Therapy from The University of Wisconsin – Madison along with a specialty certification in Gerontology. In 2003 she earned her master’s in Education at Viterbo University. Throughout her career she has worked in several areas of specialty including acute, sub acute, skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, school systems, Medicaid OT consultant and home modifications. During her career as an Occupational Therapist she has been involved with several new start up clinics, developed specific program protocols for determining medical versus educational necessity of therapeutic services, served as an area OT consultant for a therapy contract company, instrumental in program development for OT students completing their fieldwork experiences, and has extensive experience with a wide variety of diagnoses. She is currently working as an OT consultant for the state of Wisconsin determining medical necessity of requested Occupational Therapy services throughout the state. Dora is also the Midwest Regional Accessibility Specialist for the David Corey Company. She assists with marketing efforts and business development for her region.
