Supporting students on the "Research Methods in Psychology (PSYC0012)" module.

Contributed to various research initiatives within the Language and Cognition Lab, overseen by Professor Gabriella Vigliocco. My responsibilities included: (1) annotating, editing, and analysing data from naturalistic videos capturing dyadic communication between adults and children or between two adults; (2) assisting in the setup and execution of a preliminary hyper-scanning study on learning with children; and (3) supporting the testing, annotation, and analysis of data from individuals with aphasia.I gained proficiency in several skills, including operating functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) concurrently on children and their caregivers, administering and scoring specialised cognitive tests for children, such as BPVS and WRIT, data visualisation and analysis using R, gesture annotation using ELAN, and speech transcription for both fluent and aphasic speech using PRAAT.

Conducted morning rounds, engaging with both voluntary and sectioned patients. Participated in case discussions within the psychiatric team, summarising patient histories and evaluating current treatment effectiveness. Conducted supervised psychiatric interviews with patients and family members, documented findings in patient files, and presented results. Administered and interpreted assessment questionnaires, such as MDQ, MMSE, and MSI-BPD.

Providing attentive and responsible childcare, including supervising children's activities, preparing meals, assisting with homework, and organising age-appropriate playtime.

Contributed to two research projects with the ChAPTRe team, focusing on the therapeutic alliance in adolescent depression. Responsibilities included transcribing psychotherapy sessions, completing relevant training, rating sessions under supervision, conducting supervised data analysis, and performing literature reviews.

Assisting students in managing their statistics course. This involves addressing questions on a variety of subjects related to data wrangling in R, data visualisation, conducting inferential statistical tests (e.g., ANOVA, ANCOVA, hierarchical regressions, and logistic regressions) as well as Bayesian analysis.

Provided peer support to students through regular online and in-person group meetings. Furthermore, I assisted them through guidance on academic topics, support services and administrative tasks, and planned mentoring sessions for a group of 10 mentees.

Collaborated with UCL's Department of Experimental Psychology on a project to develop a database of 3,000 faces with corresponding attractiveness ratings. This database supports research and the development of experiments or deep learning algorithms.
