Project Controls Cost Analyst
Currento Effectively plan and manage for Major Projects by monitoring and analyzing project cost estimates, budgets and actual.o Develop tools and procedures for implementation of industry recognized earned value control measures that accurately indicate the cost impact of project activities.o Facilitate project execution by acting as a cost reporting expert on Major Projects.o Monitor actual and committed project costs against budgets and measure cost performance and progress against forecasts contributing to the analysis and explanation of variances.o Provide cost review of subcontractor’s estimates and change notices, facilitates implementation of project change control practices.o Present to various stakeholders, project work in progress, commitment, and estimate at completion forecasts.o Identify and quantify cost factors, time impacts based on design, material or labour changes.o Develop the cost-coding structure and validate cost-coding of actual chargeso Coordinate with project personnel to review work orders; monitors and amends expenditure estimates based on approved changes and maintains related logs and recordso Reviews project expenditure information, develop regular performance reports to monitor cost and progress and reports performance and progress deviations.o Identifies potential problems and based on the analysis of the collected data and forecastso Ensures that all labour, service, equipment and material costs are correctly recorded in the system of record.o Support Supply Chain Procurement activities as needed for contractual requirements to external contractorso Work with the Project Manager to evaluate the performance of contractors and vendors as it relates to cost schedule and their management practices. Monitors contractor and vendor’s equipment and material costs.
