I covered the business of entertainment and ran the Celebrity 100 issue for the national magazine and website. I looked for and wrote business stories in Hollywood that appealed to the Forbes readers. I oversaw a team of reporters and worked with editors and art department in New York to produce the Celebrity 100, a list of the 100 most powerful celebrities that is annually Forbes’ 3rd best-selling magazine of the year. My list duties included producing magazine and web stories, video and shareable graphics. Wrote a daily blog on the entertainment industry that attracted millions of hits each month. Developed a social networking following through sites like Twitter and Facebook to help attract readers to Forbes.com.

Covered local business for a weekly tabloid publication. Beat included education and writing about local business leaders as well as finding local angles on national companies.

Greater Boston Area

Wrote for a string of newspapers covering the suburbs surrounding Boston. Started as a writer at the Wellesley Tab and rose to editor of the Somerville Journal, a weekly broadsheet for a town of 76,000. As editor managed a staff of two reporters, hand laid out the newspaper each week and covered local politics including Mayor Michael Capuano’s election to Congress.

Wrote anchor copy and edited video for five daily news shows.
