This has allowed me to do counseling, management, mentoring, and public speaking for many people. Before RMHC worked with Hospitality and New Members at Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley. Calvary has been a large church. Working with first impressions, visitor assimilation, new members, the community, and directing the Alpha program are the parts of this job. Each week requires recruiting and managing multiple volunteer teams for worship (60-90 people each week). I love developing new leaders by training and equipping them to minister to other people. My relational skills have proven to be valuable in that area.Leading Alpha involves managing teams, teaching talks, spiritual mentoring to the small group leaders, directing the Alpha kids program, and coordinating prayer teams and kitchen teams. I train the small group leaders in counseling and leading. Alpha programs I was in charge of had over 200 participants, nearly 50 small group leaders, with Alpha kids, kitchen, and prayer teams.My first years at Calvary were as the full-time Director of Youth Ministry. I had staff that reported to me. I directed the small group ministry in people’s homes. We had 120+ kids in multiple homes. I trained and supported this ministry to be successful.
