Key member of the Quality team who assisted in the development and standardization of the delegated inspection services area within the Logistics Warehouse. This was a new department created for providing defense / aerospace customers the service of customer delegated source inspection in order to bypass receiving inspection at the customer’s facility. Developed the department metrics to measure the health of the process using 4 ups. Major customers include United Technology Aerospace Systems (UTAS)/Hamilton Sundstrand, BAE, Lockheed Martin, Rockwell Collins, and General Dynamics.

Part of two person team responsible for reviewing, approving, and closing all SCAR’s and CAR’s for all defense / aerospace customers. Principal contact for Avnet’s biggest def/aero customer BAE (British Aerospace Engineering) in regards to audits, corrective actions, supplier corrective actions, and customer complaints. Key member of the Quality team that helped increase our largest customer quality rating from 56% to 99.9%. Responsible for assisting all defense/aerospace customers with issues regarding corrective and supplier corrective actions, and participating in defense/aerospace customer audits at the warehouse.

Responsible for the following: Corrective & Preventive Action, Document & Data Control, Internal & External Auditing, and Training. Also responsible for providing customer service to customers and suppliers which included but was not limited to resolving discrepancies and providing status on existing orders. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the entire AS / ISO quality management systems for two facilities (1 in Tempe, AZ and 1 in Guaymas, Mexico). Also responsible for maintaining the following programs for both facilities: Corrective & Preventive Action, Document Control, Internal Auditing, Safety, and Training. Responsible for estimating all requests for quotes, utilizing vendors and negotiating pricing for material and/or outside services, entering all quotes and estimates into internal computer system (IFS), submitting quotes to customers, and aid in the process of negotiating pricing to win customer contracts. Additional responsibilities included providing customer service to customers on existing parts, organization of customer meetings, entering new customer orders into IFS, and utilizing GE Aircraft Engines and Honeywell online services.
