I am a senior, marketing major at The University of Tennessee. I have four years of retail sales experience at Ambassadors Formalwear, a formalwear rental company, where I learned skills such as networking/relationship building, brand management and customer service. I have also been employed as a lifeguard for eight years and have been a lifeguard instructor for three years. As a lifeguard, I have acquired traits such as leadership, responsibility and reliability. These traits helped me to a promotion as a facility supervisor. I am focused and driven, which has led to me receiving recognition of employee of the month four separate times. Although I do not have the most business related experience, I do believe my prior employment as a lifeguard will prove that I have the skills needed to be successful in the business world.
