I initially worked with dementia residents in a secured residence. I created small group meetings which I called "Stimulus" Also I did profile analyses of the resident which included lengthy interviews with family members. I attended Interdisciplinary Meetings which were staff follow-ups of the residents regarding their progress, medications etc. I also conducted weekly Worship Services I specially tailored to the needs of the residents. One-on-One with the residents was also a major part of my work. I was then appointed to the position of Housing Chaplain to the Bethany Care Society housing developments. These are low cost rental apartments for those who are in the lower income bracket. Eligible age is from 55 up. I have recently retired from this role to be closer to our family in British Columbia.
