Member of the original team that started BMO’s upstream oil and gas A&D practice. This involved many unique responsibilities: assisting with A&D and engineering software and hardware purchases and set-up, leading the development of the marketing campaign, advertising, web presence, and selecting the VDR provider and stewarding the initial branding and set-up. Also provided input on hiring and staffing, product offering, and process decisions. On the transaction side, lead the process and technical effort for the sale of properties in multiple US basins, including Permian, Anadarko, Arkoma, Ark-La-Tex, and GOM Shelf. Stewarded technical assistants and associates in analysis and preparing marketing materials. In addition, prepared and presented over 100 data room presentations to prospective buyers.

Involved in the technical effort for the sale of various assets in the US, including East Texas and the Rockies. Lead the technical effort for two South American sales processes. Stewarded another engineer and various technical assistants and developed marketing documents and presented data room presentations. Some of these data room presentations were presented in Buenos Aires in a mixture of English and Spanish.

Senior Engineer – Development Company (11/07 – 8/08)Provided reservoir engineering consultation for potential exploration projects in various areas of the world. This included evaluations of onshore heavy and light oil, deepwater oil, and deep gas in shallow water for projects in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Utilized material balance, nodal analysis, and reservoir simulation in order to generate production forecasts for development scenarios. Also worked with national oil company technical team members and various research experts.Senior Project Engineer – Production Company (8/03 – 11/07)Team lead supervising reservoir engineering tasks for mature oil and gas fields. Lead asset teams in developing the annual strategic business plan for the field 3 years in a row. Performed technical and economic analyses for work plans to increase production, then gained approval and stewarded execution for these plans, which included workovers and drilling programs. Was a member of a select team to determine strategic options for ~1 million acres in south Texas. This involved evaluation of the economic impact of various negotiation strategies and determining the optimal course of action for each field. This effort of high-grading potentially added over $100 MM in value above the status quo.Technical work while in the Production Company dealt with tight and conventional natural gas reservoirs, a tight, light oil reservoir under waterflood and a heavy oil reservoir under steam flood.
