Started in CICS System Programmer team. Moved to MVS Operating System team in 1995. Promoted to team lead in 1997. Currently team lead for mainframe system programmers responsible for z/OS 1.13, CICS T/S 5.1, DB2 v10, WebSphere MQ v8, Comm Server (VTAM, TCP/IP), storage admin (DFSMSdfp/dss/hsm/rmm) as well as all mainframe based tools (IBM & other third party vendors). Duties and accomplishments include:- Solely responsible for installation of z/OS 1.13 & 1.11.- Responsible for technical supervision of systems programmers supporting all mainframe system level software.- Assist & advise management regarding hardware & software acquisitions.- Project lead for conversion from EMC DMX4 to VMAX disk & from EMC DLM960 to DLM2100 virtual tape.- One of two system programmers responsible for DFSMSdfp/hsm/dss/rmm storage support, including maintaining ACS routines.- Utilize FDR Instant in conjunction with EMC Timefinder to do point-in-time full volume backups. Developed data refresh process for dev environments and read-only prod environments using FDR Instant to restore from the offline point-in-time backups.- Troubleshoot system problems using IBM's Debug Tool, Fault Analyzer, limited IPCS as well as both TMON & Omegamon monitors.- Project lead for conversion from CA & Compuware tools to IBM tools.- Strong assembler skills including development of numerous system utilities & exits for JES2 & TWS.- Designed & coded many REXX utilities & automation routines, including a comprehensive set of programs to automate combining 2 sysplexes into 1.- Share responsibility for support of Communication Server.- Backup RACF administrator for Information Security team. Only systems programmer with RACF admin rights.- Maintain WLM policies. Assist application programmers with performance tuning their code.- Installed & maintained various CA products, including CA1, CA7, CA11, OPS/MVS, TPX, CA-Spool, & JCLCHECK as well as products from Compuware, ASG, Serena, & Vanguard.

Systems Programmer (1985-1988)- Installed, maintained and supported CICS.- Installed, maintained and supported CA products and a number of ISPF dialogue applications.- Maintained network definitions for NCP, VTAM and TCAM.Senior Programmer/Analyst (1980-1985)- Primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of Assembler CICS application programs.- Also supported batch jobs, cataloged procedures and batch COBOL programs.- Project leader on a number of projects.

Programmer- COBOL programmer on IBM 360 hardware for JUMPS/MMS (Joint Uniform Military Payroll System / Manpower Management System.)- Project leader for the Source Data Automation section.- Awarded the Navy Achievement Medal in November, 1980 for outstanding work on the Disbursement Officer Voucher application.- Honorably discharged in December, 1980 as a Sergeant.
