As a special assistant to the President, Doug was responsible for informing the campus on its strategic growth initiatives. Chief among those responsibilities is the redirection of the campus goals regarding the 2015 Tuition Revenue Bond request. Other implementation projects resulting from his planning are a 130,000 GSF health science building and annex, various relocations of existing colleges and departments, a new university center and dining facility and a 450-bed housing project.

*Led multidisciplinary planning teams on over 60 projects in higher education, both city and county government, health care and K-12 projects*Worked closely with the senior leadership of all projects to set project goals, maintain communications and ensure project effectiveness*Instrumental in moving the firm to a cloud-based file storage system thereby greatly increasing collaboration and productivity between team members in various locations across the country*Developed scopes of work, fee proposals and work plans for each project and managed adherence to those goals*Actively participated in the marketing efforts of the company by responding to RFQ/RFPs, participating in short-list presentations and making marketing calls*Assisted the President in managing the overall financial affairs of the company*Provide project management services for an applied research building construction project to include schedule, budget and information coordination

*Led a multi-firm, multidisciplinary team of professionals in the programming of a state-of-the-art biosciences research facility at The University of Texas at San Antonio*Managed the planning efforts for several higher education and K-12 projects to include programming, needs assessments and facility condition assessments*Worked closely with the senior leadership of all projects to set project goals, maintain communications and ensure project effectiveness*Actively participated in the marketing efforts of the firm by responding the RFQ/RFPs and participating in short-list presentations

*Guided the City of Boerne in the expansion of its municipal facilities including the city hall, police station, library and visitors center*Wrote a policy and procedures manual for a large multi-campus bond construction program

*Managed the programming efforts of over 125 projects over a wide range of project & client types including higher education, corporate, K-12, city government, non-profit and military*Worked closely with the senior leadership of all projects to set project goals, maintain communications and ensure project effectiveness*Actively participated in the marketing efforts of the firm by responding the RFQ/RFPs and participating in short-list presentations*Acted as the chief information officer (CIO) maintaining the firm's networked hardware, software and daily activities
