Operations is one of the largest non-instructional departments on campus. We handle all maintenance and operations, construction, capital renovations, and environmental management. As the director, I oversee all departments through a management chain with three direct reports. Much of my time is spent in the planning, design, and over-site of the campus capital construction/renovation program. Improving physical environments that will serve students for generations to come is gratifying. The historic preservation and restoration of the beloved Phoenix College campus is what I am most passionate about, and the collaborative environment here supports that mission.

When hired in 1995, CCUSD was comprised of four rural K-12 schools with a student population of 2400. I was charged with the creation of a district maintenance department and grew it into an efficient service operation. During my tenure, the District grew exponentially to eight schools and 6000 students. I managed numerous renovations, improvement projects and new construction including a high school addition and four new elementary schools.
